The Magalies Adventure takes place on Sunday, 29 November 2026, at Galloway Gardens alongside Black Horse Brewery near Magaliesburg, bringing three Gravel/MTB distances and the final round of the 2026 Stellantis Adventure Series into one late-season dirt outing.
Riders can choose between 100km, 65km and 45km options, with gravel bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes all listed as suitable choices. That makes the event useful for a broad spread of women riders: those chasing a hard result, those after a measured year-end test, and those who simply want one more proper day out before the calendar gets festive and frantic.

Women’s series stakes
The event is the fifth and final round of the Stellantis Adventure Series, where the inaugural champions will be decided. In the women’s competition, Nicolette Griffioen won the opening two rounds and took maximum points before Sam Sanders won Rounds 3 and 4. Sanders can no longer make up enough ground to take the overall series title, but the finale still has race honours and cash prizes available on the day.
Prize draw and school racing
For series participants, there is also a prizegiving sweetener. Two Cannondale Topstone 2 GRX gravel bikes, each valued at R35,000, will be awarded by lucky draw at the Magalies Adventure prizegiving: one to a male winner and one to a female winner. Each series event entry counts as one draw entry, and selected winners must be present at prizegiving to claim the bikes.

The 45km event also doubles as the final round of the 2026 Luxliner Schools MTB Series, bringing the schools competition to a close at Magalies Adventure. Away from the bike racing, the event coincides with the Black Horse Brewery Christmas Market, with competitors receiving free entry and supporters qualifying for discounted entry.

A fuller day out
Trail runners have 5km and 10km options, plus a 15km run-only event, so the day is not limited to people who think 100km of gravel is a casual Sunday suggestion. For Dirtyheart readers, the appeal is straightforward: a Gauteng-adjacent Gravel/MTB finale with flexible distances, a live women’s racing thread, and enough going on around the venue to make it more than a hit-and-run race mission.
