The Buco Lions Karoo to Coast Mountain Bike Challenge is a 100km off road race from UNIONDALE to KNYSNA via the Prince Alfred's Pass. The route is scenic, challenging and riders are encouraged to train sufficiently for this event in order to maximise the enjoyment of the experience.
Only 15% of the entries remain – DO NOT be disappointed because you left your entry too late.
At last we have convinced Monica Childs Marketing to work with us on the provision of the Official Event Goody Bags – this means there will be proper event goody bags at registration with gifts in them.
Trucape sponsors a Free 15 minute massage for riders at the finish line in their Trucape tent – first come, first served basis.
Influence Clothing – who started working with the event in 2018 – has some super clothing for you to purchase with your entry or to buy at the finish line.
There is Free Tog Bag Truck sponsored by Kempston for those who need items to be taken from Uniondale to the finish in Knysna. This truck will be parked on the Uniondale Showground field from 06:00 on Sunday 22nd September.
All proceeds go to charity as the event is owned by the Lions of Knysna and Uniondale. The event is proud to have raised a record breaking R1.5 million for charity in 2018!
The route marshals and waterpoint crews are also charities with the Knysna Education Trust, Eden Lions, Knysna Sports School and the Rotary Club of Knysna being on the route. The Knysna Sea Cadets and Red Cross are also part of the “Team behind the Scenes”.
