Liv Cycling Netherlands announced on 7 October 2026 that it has expanded the Pique cross-country mountain-bike range with two new models: the Pique Advanced Pro and the limited-edition Pique Advanced SL SE.
For women watching the sharp end of XC tech, the useful bit is clear: the Pique Advanced Pro brings much of the platform’s top-level thinking into an Advanced-grade carbon frame with 120 mm of FlexPoint Pro rear suspension, while the Pique Advanced SL SE pushes the race build higher with an Advanced SL-grade carbon frame and premium components.
What the Pique Advanced Pro adds
Liv positions the Pique Advanced Pro for riders who put speed first, with an emphasis on efficient climbing, quick acceleration and precise handling, while still keeping control for increasingly technical XC courses. In less catalogue-speak: it is aimed squarely at riders who want their short-travel bike to climb keenly and stay composed when the trail gets spicy.
A two-position flip chip lets riders alter the bike’s geometry to suit the terrain. Liv says the High setting gives sharper steering, while the Low setting adds stability at higher speed and on steeper ground.
Suspension, cockpit and wheels
The Pique Advanced Pro also pairs FlexPoint Pro with Giant’s own CREST suspension at this level for the first time. The CREST XC Elite rear shock is tuned for the movement of the FlexPoint Pro system, and the CREST XC Comp fork is described as balancing pedalling support with sensitivity and grip on rough terrain. A handlebar remote lockout is included for long climbs and harder efforts.

Up front, the Pique Advanced Pro uses an integrated Contact SL XC aluminium bar-and-stem unit, with internal cable routing for a tidier cockpit. It also gets Giant XCA 2 29 WheelSystems with 30 mm rims and Wide Guard Technology, which Liv says uses wide, rounded rim edges to help reduce rim damage and tyre cuts on hard impacts, and to support lower tyre pressures for extra grip and control.
A limited-edition SL SE flagship
The Pique Advanced SL SE is the more exclusive option: a limited-edition race bike with a unique finish, an Advanced SL-grade carbon frame and high-end race specification. Liv says it is also the first bike fitted with the new CADEX Max XC WheelSystem.
The SL SE build includes RockShox SID Flight Attendant suspension, SRAM XX SL Eagle Transmission and a Quarq power meter. Liv describes Flight Attendant as electronically adjusting the suspension while riding.
The retrieved Liv Netherlands announcement does not state South African pricing or local availability. For now, the takeaway is that Liv has widened its Pique line with a Pro-tier XC option and a limited-edition flagship, giving women who race, ride fast or simply follow XC development another sign of how adjustable and tightly packaged modern short-travel mountain bikes are becoming.
